Did you physically see the groceries in the bag? There's a possibility that earlier in the day a shop lifter could have been picked up and they could have forgotten his sweater or jacket and he was returning to pick it up.
I dislike seeing stuff like this on the internet as they police officers are top notch and don't get the respect they deserve.

Ya Scott did you run right over and do a search? You know because a cop coming out of a grocery store with bags does not mean he was buying groceries! How dare you! You know because police care so much about shoplifters that they will go back to the store and pick up clothes for a shoplifter....I don't know what colour the sky is in your world pal, but apperantly you do not leave your house or had to deal with the Police in saint john.

Granted there is a few good ones, but come on I have seen my fair share turning on the light at a red light just to get through or parking illegally. And alot think just because they have the bagde can do what ever the hell they want. So as far as seeing this stuff on the internet or this site you better get used to it or cancel your internet provider!

That is a given, who is to say whether it was for personal shopping or collecting vital evidence. I wouldn't want to discredit a cop for doing their job. I respect that and it's a very tough job...

But if this was on legit, NON-URGENT, LIFE SAVING, CRIME STOPPING sort of business, why not take the time like the rest of us and park in a DESIGNATED SPACE... What if a fire were to break out, etc...??

The respect they deserve? Pfft! I have never ever been in trouble with the police and never had any dealings with them whatsoever but let's Say I know for fact that about a little less then half the police force in saint john are crookeder then the crooked man with a crooked cane that lived on a crOoked lane..... Not gonna get into details about how I know this or who the paticilars are but.......yes there are a few excellent cops I give kudos to but like one cop quoted ......if one of yas in the club does something slightly bad it makes you all look bad and well guess that's just how it is makes all the cops in saint john look bad because of a few smart ass arrogant crooked ones!

in all honesty... in the 2 bags that he had i seen what looked like cookies and a box of something maybe rice? who knows.. really don't care what he was buying.. and thats not the point. nor is the point he sped off sideways thur the lot with no lights only only to stop at a red light .. clearly not in a hurry to fight crime.. but thats fine we all drive fast at times...

and I'm sure iv been noted in the past to say some sort of childish anti-police comment based on lack of facts and due to my anger probably due to something i feel i wasn't doing wrong but clearly was.. who hasn't ... but ill admit. yes if said some things at times in angry about the police around here and yes even for no reason and even going back a few years if probably said some really stupid sh*t...

but i with age and growth and what ever else i have learned a bit. and gained a bit...
there are many cops in this city that have harassed and threatened me many many of times for bull sh*t reasons. walking to my car in a parking lot and them offer me tickets ... sitting in my car with out it running and them offer me tickets.. come up to me sitting in a parking lot and tell me they will give me tickets regardless of if i did something wrong or not due to other reasons i will not talk about. but in short because they was pissed they couldn't pin something on someone they knew that i knew ... and yes the words used was "we will pick on your. harass you and ticket you every time we see you till we give your friend so many tickets he cant drive anymore just to prove our point to him ...

even gone as far as tired to tell me that nbadtoys was some kinda gang formed to screw around with the police and our main effort was to cause sh*t around town ... yes i laughed at him and replyed we are more of a social club then even a car club a a far cry from a gang ... i manged to straight out this one cop and later on he even was cool and had a chat with me...

long story short on that one... with in our convo he said i wasn't giving him any respect.. i agreed. no officer i am not showing any respect. and i will not untill you do. and i even rolled my window up on him when he offered to give me tickets for being parked in a parking space and just even admitted to picking on me... he said yes i have no respect for you and your gang .. but like i said with in this convo and once HE cooled down and started showing respect we came to an understanding .. sorrys and thank yous was exchanged.. he admitted he figured i was some punk ass kid and was treating me as such. once he understood i wasn't and that i wasn't showing him no respect till he showed me any we was fine.. nice guy really. again... he changed his tune.

going into more details... they know me. they know my car. iv been followed soooo many times and even pulled over for apparently racing a mustang gt super charged who i apparently blew out of the water and left in my dust... honestly like i told that officer. i barley got out of second gear yes i was going to race him till i could no longer see him. i didn't even get to 50kph in a 60 zone.. thats right i past you going 60 as you was doing 50 ... give me the ticket any judge that knows how to even start a car isnt going to believe i left a mustang supercharged in the dust with my 4 banger...

with out telling my life story... iv had good and bad run ins.. thats some of the bad.. not counting the time they tryed to take my car and put me in jail for having flashing lights on my car at a car show.. i even told them what section of the law to look up as they had no clue.. they walked away lookin like fools wile about 30-40 people booed them at an uptown car show...

now some of the good.
i cant count how many times iv been left off (years back when i was Young and retarded) 180kph up McAllister drive .... warning.
80 in a 50 zone racing a mini van .... mini van won.. and went thur a red light .. but still i was doing wrong aswell ... warning
pulled over a few other many of times and been warned when i wss slightly above the limit ..
running cars from dealerships to detailing shops .. many fingers pointed and they basically shook there head and looked away.. warnings.
and having a cracked window ... warned a few times. even by the same officer and i told him.. look cash is low right nnow man.. warning.

and when shits gone down and i needed help. iv run into some very nice officers. very friendly and helpful. and some even gone above and beon.

like any place you go there is going to be bad cops and good ones..

the point I'm going to make.. if they can find one person who's under 40 breaking the law and blame us all for being punk kids.
if one person in nbbadtoys or any car club does something wrong. the finger gets pointed at all of us.

its always the bad seads that ruin it for the good ones.. and its no different for them.
if everyone repping any car club or group in the city is a rapist and beats there wife and speeds in school zones then we all get blamed.
so they too should be accountable for there "group actions" ..

myself tho i can open my eyes wider then that... i see the good and the bad., if he was saving a child from a burning handicap bus and i was there id take that pic and post it too.

Ya but even if there was a security guard at the mall that said not Mr/Mrs shoplifter you can not have your sweater back before we ban you from the mall and regardless if they give it to your mother or the police to take home to you the point of the maTter is if he was there for emergency reason he could of turned his lights on even though I'm sure there would be more then 1 police car if emergency or whether it was to pick up clothes that a security guard ripped off the shoplifter right before the shoplifter was raped he could of walked his lazy ass another 5 steps and parked in a god damn space!

I think what bothers me the most about this is that it just goes to show you that because they are police officers that enforce the law they think that they are above the law king shut and don't have to follow the law!

had he been there for A shoplifter or Emergency reason....he would have not parked almost at the end of the building. just like 90% of us they are lazy too. I have parked there before and risk a ticket. But that is the thing if i get caught parking there I get ticketed and towed. But because he is the law people will just assume that he is in there for something other then shopping.

He's apparently just one lazy ass person that is clearly abusing his job title... that being said, I have actually parked at Sobeys and have had cops park beside me so they could go in and get their lunch or whatever. Or I've watched them park at the farthest point in the parking lot and walk. And if he went in for a shoplifter's sweater or whatever, do you really think he'd be carrying it out in a Sobeys bag?? I mean, let's be realistic... don't think he's retrieving a sweater and has it folded all nice and neat in a grocery bag.

chill dude we got your point that you were going for just 99% of us dont beleive in your point and wasnt strong enough then the other points that were made in this topic......that being said probably more pictures like this will be posted and no its not like we are only posting a pic of the cop car being parked in a fire lane and 2 feet away from the car but didnt make the pic was a cop giving a little girl cpr because of some sort of emergency......again this pic was posted to show pure laziness and arrogance.......youre the one that brought up the sweater idea we all just rolled with it.....that being said im sure if ol joe blo parked in that spot because there 12 year old son was shoplifting and forgot his sweater you would totally sh*t on him because he doesnt have "authority" and is not worthy of respect because ol joe blo just a dirty ol janiter that picks up dog sh*t or something......

If you want to make a point make it stronger than that.....try to sell someone on your idea and make it beleivable not excusable! im not being rude by all means and please dont take this the wrong way but i am very much like scottie and will argue something untill someone can convince me otherwise....
